Next Door Comics began as an offshoot of The Clover Theater, our small town movie theater that we've managed since 2013. We've been pop culture nerds our whole lives and wanted to create a welcoming place for people to release their inner super hero.
The first version of Next Door Comics was a corner of the movie theater lobby where we sold Funko Pops and graphic novels. After a year we moved it into its own space next door (hence the name!) to the theater. We quickly outgrew that space and moved a couple of blocks away to the main boulevard in Cloverdale.
We kept the name Next Door Comics for a few reasons. First off, we already had a logo we loved! But the biggest reason is, as we grow both in our physical and online spaces, we want to continue to be a neighborhood shop. A place where you can gather to play games, discuss the latest pop culture news, and find that perfect comic book, graphic novel, board game, or pop culture oddity. A place where we can celebrate how weird and goofy we all really are.
